Activated Alumina is a very porous form of aluminum oxide of high surface area which adsorbs liquids and gases without any change in form.
Activated Alumina will not soften or disintegrate when immersed in liquids. In the absence of irreversible fouling, it may be regenerated to its original adsorption efficiency by heating to a temperature between 350 - 600°F (177 - 316°C). For the most efficient subsequent adsorption, high temperature, low pressure and dry inert gas regeneration is recommended. Now produced with the latest automated equipment controlled by a sophisticated computer system, Activated Alumina is unequaled in its physical properties as a desiccant or adsorbent.

Adsortech Container Strips provide Complete Protection against Shipping Container Moisture
Shipping Containers transit very harsh weather conditions during long ocean voyages.
In many instances high temperatures yield high humidity causing extreme condensation inside the container during the cooler part od the day (Container Rain).
Condenstaion can destroy valuable cargo whether it be food items, furniture of machinery.
Our container Strips have been designed to hang on the container hooks along the inside walls of the container giving complete protection of the cargo by adsorbing moisture carried in the air inside the container.

MOLECULAR SIEVE IS AVAILABLE IN THE FOLLOWING TYPES:
Type 3A, 4A, 13X
Molecular sieve (as known as synthetic zeolite) is a micro-porous aluminosilicate crystals. It is made of silicon-oxy tetrahedron, alumina tetrahedron to form a basic skeleton structure, in which exist metal cations (e.g. Na+, K+, Ca2+, etc.) to balance the excess negative charge in the crystal. According to the type of crystal structure, zeolite consists of: A-type (LTA), X-type (FAU), Y-type and so on.
The chemical formula of zeolite unit cell: Mx/n [ (AlO2)x (SiO2)y ]-w H2O

Adsorption: The adsorption capacity of molecular sieve comes from the physical adsorption (van der Waals force). The crystal has a strong polarity and Coulomb field, which show a strong adsorption capacity for polar molecules (water) and unsaturated molecules.
Sieving: The pore size of molecular sieve distribution is very consistent. Only when molecular diameter is less than the pore size of molecular sieve, the molecule is possible adsorbed into the crystal cave.
Distinguishing molecules of different substances by the priority of adsorption and the sizes, it is vividly called "molecular sieve".
Bead sizes: 2mm and 3-5mm
Sieve can be dispensed into sachets of various sizes depending on customer requirements or purchased in Bulk - 140kg or 25 kg Steel Drums.
Now available in Resealable Plastic pales : 5kg, 10kg & 14kg.
